I started with this navy and white plaid short sleeve shirt (Tu at Sainsbury's, £12) and paired it with this burgundy thick knit sweater (New Look, £18.99) to create a cute and preppy outfit that is still practical as it keeps me warm. I then made it a bit more casual by pairing it with these blue high waist skinny jeans (Primark, £10) and dark brown work boots (from Dr Martens years ago and are no longer available, but the similar Pilloy boots are, £110). To finish it off and tie in the boots with the more preppy style, I paired them with white frill trim socks (Primark, £3).
For my hair, I kept it simple with two braids and my fringe also braided and pinned out of my face. Also, I didn't wear any jewellery as I was doing a lot of rushing about and didn't want to lose it. Finally for makeup, I wore a simple tan eyeshadow (Urban Decay Buck from the Naked 1 palette) and black winged liner (Soap & Glory Super Cat Fat felt tip liner) with black mascara. I finished it off with a dark purple lipstick (Collection Blackberry Fool) to match the jumper and tie together the look.
Overall, this look proves for me that you can still dress in outfits that are practical for day to day life whilst looking cute. I love this look as it is comfy, simple, and a classic style I love.
