Fashion OOTD - Day 22 - Elegant Essentials

Today I don't have any lessons, but I am helping out with my college's open day - so I needed a smarter look. I wasn't sure what to wear so decide d to piece together dome of my favourite basic items to create this look!

I started with my favourite high waisted skinny jeans (£10, Primark) and paired it with a white vest top (Peacocks, £5.99) to create a comfy basis for the outfit. Then to smarten it up I added my black boyfriend blazer (local store, £24.99) and my black platform boots (£22, eBay). 

For hair, I kept it simple as I had to wash it ready to curl it for carnival tonight, so I just pinned back my fringe and left it in it's natural waves; and for jewellery I just wore my fatima hand necklace. For my makeup, I wore a natural eyeshadow (Urban Decay Naked from the Naked 1 palette) to put more of the emphasise on the winged black liner (soap & glory super cat eyeliner pen). I then went with black mascara and a dark red matte lip (Rimmel apocalips velvet matte in meteoric) to finish off the classy look.

Overall, this outfit proves that it is easy to put together a cute and classy outfit with just the basic wardrobe items; and that you don't need loads of clothes to create an outfit you'll love!!!
