Fashion: OOTD - Day 10 - Beach Business Casual

Today I have a couple of meetings at college alongside my lessons; so I wanted an outfit that could be smarter for those, but comfy and casual for my lessons.

I chose to wear this blazer (local store, £24.99) with this crop top (New Look, £14.99) as I can do up the blazer to make it look like just a white top to keep it smart for the meetings. Then, I wore these blue and white printed trousers (Peacocks, £15) as they are casual but look more dressed up with the blazer. Finally, I tied in the black of the blazer with these back lace flats (Primark, £4) to bring together the look and the black, blue and white colour theme.

For jewellery, I wore a pair of gem stud earrings (Claires, £3.99) and my leather fatima hand necklace (Marrakesh Souks in Morocco, £6). For hair, I just simply tied up my fringe in a half up half down style to look simple yet classy, and still be practical as it is out of my face. Finally for makeup, I kept the eyes simple with a rose gold shadow (Maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold and Essence single shadow in danced all night), winged liner and mascara. I then finished it off with a statement dark red matte lip (Rimmel velvet matte Apocalips in meteoric).

Smart casual dress is one of the most difficult things to do, and this is one of the few outfits that I have found that I think fits it. The key for me to get a smart casual look is to try and dress up a casual outfit you already wear; rather than find something entirely new.
