Today I wanted something that would keep me warm and dry quickly as the weather in the UK is rubbish at the moment!!! I had a jacket I really wanted to wear so I styled the outfit around it.
The jacket I based the outfit around is this purple leather zip up jacket (eBay, £18) - which was great for today as not only is it cute, but it is practical for the rainy weather. Since it is a dark purple; I chose to wear light purple and black with it to balance out the colours. Therefore, I wore this lilac short sleeve shift dress (£15, Boohoo), black wool tights (£2.50, Primark) and these black block heeled JuJu jelly shoes (£25, Office).
For makeup, hair and jewellery, I chose to to go with cute hair and edgy makeup to match the contrasting style in the outfit. For jewellery, I wore my leather fatima hand necklace (£6, Marrakesh) and two contrasting stud earrings (the pearl one is from a set in primark, £2.50, and the silver gem hoop one is from a set in claires, £5.99). For my hair, I did this cute and girly milkmaid braid and left the front out and loosely curled it to add a feminine touch. With my makeup, I kept the eyes simple with a pale, shimmery shadow (Urban Decay virgin and sin from the naked 1 palette), black liquid liner (Rimmel glam eyes eyeliner) and a statement dark purple lip (collection lipstick in blackberry fool).
I feel like this outfit is a very unique style and just proves that it is OK to mix match styles as long as you like the final outcome.
