Fashion: OOTD - Day 2 - college casual

Today I have a shorter day at college but will be spending a lot of time sat in the library and my English classroom (which are both boiling all the time!) so I wanted an outfit that would be cool indoors but warm outdoors for walking to and from college - yet I still want to feel good in what I'm wearing!

I chose this navy skater dress from Primark (£5) as it is lightweight and cool to wear indoors yet is still a style I feel comfortable in and looks flattering. I paired it with this pink plaid shirt also from Primark (£8) to wear as an accessory around my waist indoors and wear for bit of warmth outdoors. I also wore my neon yellow espadrilles from Superdry (£14.99) as they are cute yet comfortable and match the accents on the plaid shirt.

For my hair, makeup and accessories; I chose to wear the same Fatima hand necklace I wear most days (bought in a market in Marrakech for £6) and a pair of simple studs. I chose to wear a shimmery gold eyeshadow (Maybelline colour tattoo in bold gold and essence eyeshadow in gold shimmer) with winged black eyeliner and a bold pink lip (Barry M gelly hi shine lips in hot pink) to match my shirt. For my hair, I straightened it then created these half French braids down either side to add a bit of a twist and keep my hair out of my face.

The thing with this outfit is that it is quite quirky and unique in the colour combinations - and I know they're not to most people's taste - yet, I have learnt as I've got older that there is no point dwelling on what others think about the way you look and although at the time it may break you down inside, if you feel like you look good and you're confident - then why should any other person have the right to change that?
