Fashion: OOTD - Day 3 - Laid back luxe

Today I only have a couple of hours in college but I am also going shopping this morning and have to walk to dance after college. I needed an outfit that is cute for shopping in, but also not too dressy for college this afternoon, and comfy to walk to dance in.

I went with the classic jeans and a tee combo with these blue high waist jeans (£10, Primark) and this grey wash casual John Lennon lyric tee (£6, Primark). For shoes I went to my go-to comfy shoes - my black LE star wars Vans (£36.99) - which are perfect for walking to college in. To add a bit of unique style, I added this loose duster coat style blazer (gifted) which not only looks good and ties together the outfit, but is practical as I can throw it on over my dance gear to walk home after dance without having to completely change outfits again.

For my hair, accessories and makeup, I skipped the jewellery as I didn't want to risk losing it at dance, and styled my hair in a casual side braid as then it is tied up ready for dancing but still looks good for the rest of the day and is out of my face for college. For my makeup, I went for a taupe eyeshadow (Maybelline colour tattoo in permanent taupe & Urban decay sidecar and dark horse from the naked 1 palette), with my favourite black eyeliner (soap & glory super cat felt pen liner) and to finish it off I chose a more neutral lip colour (Essence liquid lipstick in Beauty Secret) to put all the focus on the eyes.

The key with this look is the fact that it is putting a twist (the longline blazer coat) on a classic (jeans and a tee). I think one thing to remember with fashion is that it doesn't matter if what you wear goes against everyone else's style; as long as you like that is the most important.

everything. What some people would
perceive as ugly, I can usually
see something of beauty in".
