Fashion: OOTD - Day 11 - What does the fox say?

Today the weather was a bit cold and grey - so I wanted to wear something that would make me feel a bit brighter; but also something that's practical for the colder weather.

I chose to wear this dark green fox jumper (Primark, £8) as it is really cute and is also very warm and cosy for the colder weather. To make it a bit brighter, I layered it over this pink swing dress from New Look (£18.99). The pink really stands out against the green to add a fun pop of colour; and the crochet peter pan collar adds an fun detail - yet also ties together the dress and jumper. I paired this with flesh colour tights (£4 for 3 pairs in Asda), a pair of white lace trim socks (Primark, £2) to keep my feet warm, and my tan suede desert boots (Primark, £10) as they are practical and comfy.

For jewellery, I kept it very simple with just my fatima hand necklace (£6, Marrakesh Souks) layered under the collar of the dress so just the charm is showing; adding a simple but elegant detail. For makeup, I wore gold eyeshadow (essence danced all night eyeshadow and Maybelline colour tattoo in eternal gold) to add a simple hint of colour and paired this with winged eyeliner and a fun bright pink (seventeen stay pout lipstick in Audition) to match the dress. Finally for my hair, I straightened it and just braided my fringe on either side to keep it out of my face whilst still looking cute and fun.

Overall I fee this look proves that you can still wear those cute summer pieces and bright colours in the autumn and winter by simply layering them or styling them in a way that makes them practical for the colder weather.
